Preventive Strategies For Healthy Aging-Who Lives the Longest and Why
Who lives the longest? Do your genes really doom you? Is your diet that important? Can you have happy, healthy later years, or do you really have to be sick?
Dan Buettner of Blue Zone, along with the National Geographic, found five areas of the world where people live the longest and healthiest. He studied what they do, what they eat, etc.
He found each area has at least one distinct diet that helps people stay healthier longer.
Is there such a pocket of such people in the U.S.?
Yes, in Loma Linda California. They are Seventh Day Adventists and they base their diet on Gen 1:29.
Here’s the passage.
Then God said,” I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.” (NIV version)
Interesting…. the eating of meat had not been introduced yet. The plant based died was the original diet.

Are Amyloids Really Causing Alzheimer’s?
Posted on December 4th, 2009 No commentsAmyloids have long been associated by many scientists as one of the causes of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases.
Scientists now believe amyloid fibres are even more dangerous. In a new study published by the Journal of Biological Chemistry, it is being stated the shorted the amyloid fibres, the more dangerous.
That’s because the shorter fibres are very toxic to cells.
Amyloid deposits can occur all over the body, not just in the brain.
